This blog has been set up to share craft ideas with others. I hope you enjoy visiting.
Gift card & package
This mini gift card and package was for a friend of mine. I made the box for the pin using the Big Shot, the matchbox die, Curley Label punch and clear window sheets.
Necklaces
I got this idea from the January 2009 Stampin Success publication. Thought they would make a cute gift for the Dazzling Stampers who went to convention with me. I altered them a little from the original. They were a big hit. People were taking pictures of them everywhere we went.
Too Creative!
I recently challenged my stamp club to come up with creative ways to decorate miniture terra cotta flower pots. Here are three of them. Aren't they adorable?
Fall leaf flowers
Here is another of the entries for the terra cotta challenge. Too cute!
Up close and personal.
Barb Muzzey made this. Isn't it imaginative? She doesn't know it yet, but she was one of our winners! She'll know after she reads this.
Another winner!
Jinny Luga made this cute entry. It's a refrigerator magnet! Too cute!
Dasher
This is another of the swaps I made for convention this year. It was actually my personal favorite.
Le Jardin Swap
This was one of the swaps I took to convention. It was also the most popular of the four I took.
Stampin' Up! offers so many great stamp sets and several of them include butterflies. The Hostess Set, God's Beauty, was one of my favorites last year. But, there are many more to choose from in the new 2009-2010 catalog. Take a peek by visiting my website at http://www.genscraftcorner.stampinup.net
This is one of the swaps I made for convention. Love the new In Colors. Here I've used Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry along with Close to Cocoa for the accent along with a brad from the Earth Elements family. The Wanted set is one of my favorites. Also used friend to friend from Teeny Tiny Wishes, one of the new sets this year.
best wishes
Had to use Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette again. Plus I love God's Beauty hostess set and wanted to use it again as well.
So long to Say it with Scallops
I thought this was one of the best sets that Stampin' Up! has offered for the Ronald McDonald House sets. I'll miss it.
Ribbon Weaving
In the most current edition of the Stampin' Success magazine they talked about ribbon and paper weaving. So I give the ribbon weaving a try. What FUN and it's really easy. It adds a whole new demension to your card.
Spring Flower 6X6 scrapbook page
This is the sister page that I made to go with the page we did at our stamp club meeting this month. You can see the one we did at my gallery on Splitcoast Stampers, go to gmcnellie under galleries.
Pacific Point treat pouch
We made these at Regionals - I changed it up a bit and here's the version we made at our last stamp club meeting. The girls all loved them. They excitedly talked about the different uses, from filling Stampin' Up! cello bags with goodies to putting sox, gloves and small scarves in the pouches.
Quick & Easy!
Embrace Life is such a versital set. Here I used it for the background on my Tangerine Tango card. Added a little Kiwi Kiss, some Haiku DSP, ribbon, build a brad and a saying punched out with the oval punch. Quick and easy card!
One Sheet Wonder cards
Here are some of the cards I'm giving to my Mom as a Mother's Day gift. Found the template for these cute & easy cards at http://rainy.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com.
Fresh thank you
This is a really quick and easy thank you note made using the Fresh Cut Notes, Raspberry Tart DSP and a red grosgrain ribbon. Used a button from Button Boutique in the center.
thanks so much
The Pocket Silhouettes set is so cute and versital. I made this thank you card for one of our assistants at work.
Cute Flower Pot
I just love this set from the Spring Mini. The images are great for watercoloring as it shown on this 3x3 card.
Hawaii Papaya Mini album
Love making these albums using the CD holders. Thanks to Patti Bennett for coming up with this great idea!
delight in life - gift box
Love the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set & the Raspberry Tart DSP is so yummy!
Haiku hanger & card
Made this door hanger first which inspired me to make the card. Miss the Haiku DSP. Glad we're going back to one catalog so the DSP will stay around for a whole year!
Triple Oranges
Tart & Tangy is still one of my favorite stamp sets. I submitted this card to a magazine, don't kow if it will be published or not, but like it just the same.
Lucky Duck
Just love the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set in the spring mini. It's available for sale NOW! It works great with the Delicate Dots DSP & the Certainly Celery poly-twill ribbon. You still have time to get both FREE! But hurry, the offer only lasts through the end of this month. Click on the photo to get more details about Sale a Bration at my Stampin' Up! website.
Doodle giggle!
Love the Doodle This stamp set and it's been a long time since I used it. So, I dug it out and put it to use with the Delicate Dots DSP from the Sale a Bration mini and a Summer Sun corduroy button. All supplies are from Stampin' Up! You can see more at my website - just click on the card.
Thinking of You
Cased this card from Splitcoast. Sorry, I didn't get the artist's name and am not able to give her credit. But. I really love the design.
Cute boxes
Love the Box #2 die from Stampin' Up! I was really surprised at how easy it is to put these boxes together. Won't they may a great Easter gift?
Easter Treat
My friend Jane & I made tons of treat pulls for an upcoming craft fair. This is one of them.
Pretty
I needed several birthday cards this month and pulled out this oldie but goodie set and put some together. I like the color combination. So Saffron is such a great go to color. It coordinates well with so many of the other colors in Stampin' Up's color family.
Love Birds
I "borrowed" this idea from one of my demo friends who gave me a darling swap at Regional. We made this card in club and the girls seemed to really like it. The Love You Much Bundle was a big hit!
Tangerine thanks
Made this thank you card for my friends at work. Used a retired background stamped with Versamark. Then used a strip of paper from Haiku DSP tied with Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon. The stamp from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set was stamped on Whisper White with Tangerine Tango ink and the saying from the same set was stamped with Basic Black.
Kiwi thank you
Here's one of the thank you cards I made to send to my wonderful friends and family this year. Love the Kiwi Kiss paper and satin ribbon. Thought the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set was nice stamped 3 times in Kiwi ink. Am sorry to see Wonderful Words retiring - it's been of my favorites!
Sharon Field won the Statement of the Heart award in 2008. She is a fellow demonstrator here in Jacksonville, but we only seem to catch up with one another at Regionals or Convention!
Cool Sweats!
Here I am with Terri Ransome & Barb Smith showing off the really cute sweatshirt we were able to buy at Momento Mall this year.
Shirley's loot!
Shirley shows off some of her purchases from Momento Mall. We all loved the reusable bags!
Day 1 of Convention
Here I am with Shirley Griffis & Barb Smith from our demo group. We're ready to pick up our bags and visit the Momento Mall!
I've been stampin' for over 10 years and been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 4. I really do love it!

Made this cute card using the Eastern Blooms and Best Yet (hostess set) from the 2008 Fall/Winter catalog. The Jumbo eyelets are such great and easy to use embellishment.
A look inside
Here's a look inside the cute little card. It holds a cute little bookmark!
One more look
Here you can see the bookmark as well as the outside of the cute little card.
Cute Kitty
This is Lucky. He's the newest member of our family. I just had to post this picture!
3x3 gift box
Our stamp club - Stampin' Sisters - sometimes makes fun of me because I love 3x3 cards. But, Caye found this cute 3x3 gift box on Splitcoast before I did and emailed me about it. I knew it was something I had to make!
3x3 box plus cards
Here's the box plus the 6 cards I made. Won't this be a cute gift for someone?
live with Passion
I love this set! It's one of the new sets from the Fall/Winter 2008 Catalog. The name is Inspired by Nature and it really fits. It's such a versital set. I used sponge daubers to add subtle colors to the flowers, it's one of the techniques they showed us at Convention.
Card Organizer
I found this project, among many, on Patty Bennett's site and just knew I had to make one. It's what inspired me to invest in the Bind it All. The complete directions can be found on Splitcoast Stampers. I used Spring Fling designer series paper for this one. Interested in learning how to make it? I'm holding a class on September 25 starting at 6:00 p.m. The non-refundable cost of $20 includes a packet of designer series paper of your choice from the Stampin' Up! Fall/Winter 2008 catalog. Your registration fee must be received no later than September 11 to allow me time to order the supplies. Need more info, contact me!
